Aerosols containing flammable propellant are often treated as hazardous waste if not fully empty. This makes disposal more expensive and can raise reputational concerns.

  1. Navigating inconsistent global rules

Different countries apply different criteria for flammable propellants. For brands operating internationally this means more regulatory complexity and a greater risk of non-compliance.

 

Alternatives that offer a pathway forward

There is no single replacement that works for every formulation but there are strong options that many brands are already exploring.
