Posted on Wed 26th March 2025

At Salvalco, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by our Innovation and Research Director, Professor Ghasem Nasr, who has recently been awarded the prestigious title of Emeritus Professor at the University of Salford. This well-earned recognition is a testament to his decades of pioneering work in aerosol and spray technology, including his groundbreaking role in developing our Eco-Valve™ – a revolutionary aerosol solution that continues to drive sustainability in the industry.

As an Emeritus Professor, Ghasem will now have the opportunity to dedicate even more of his time to nurturing the next generation of innovators and supporting our groundbreaking work at Salvalco.

He will continue working alongside students and researchers at the University of Salford, sharing his expertise and helping to develop cutting-edge, sustainable technologies – including Salvalco’s latest breakthrough, the Eco-Inverted valve. This recent innovation builds on the success of the original Eco-Valve™, offering enhanced performance and flexibility for a wider range of applications, while remaining entirely propellant-free.

Reflecting on this next chapter, Professor Nasr said:

I am honoured to receive this recognition from the University of Salford. It’s a privilege to continue working with the talented students and researchers there, driving forward new sustainable technologies. I truly believe that by fostering innovation and collaboration, we can continue to develop solutions that benefit both industry and the environment. Not just here in the UK but across the globe.

With over 30 years of experience, Ghasem’s impact on the aerosol industry is undeniable. His commitment to greener, safer solutions has not only shaped Salvalco’s technology but is also influencing the broader market toward more sustainable practices. His leadership has been instrumental in helping brands reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on performance.

As he steps into this new chapter, we look forward to seeing the inspiring collaborations and bold innovations that will emerge from his continued work with both Salvalco and the University of Salford. With an ongoing commitment to delivering technology that benefits business, people and planet.

Here’s to a future driven by sustainable innovation and the brilliant minds making it all possible.
